THE CHALLENGE

The Academy Awards is the only awards show televised live in all United States time zones, Canada, the United Kingdom, and gathers millions of viewers elsewhere throughout the world. The ceremony broadcast live internationally in 76 countries. More than 57.25 million viewers tuned last year Awards Ceremony, generating close to US$ 3 billion worldwide, drew 8.56 million viewers in Latin America alone. TNT was looking to capitalize this gigantic viewership attracting them to their roster of new programming, shows and other live events, such as Music Concerts, Emmy Awards, and SAG Awards.

PROPOSED CONCEPT

Create the ultimate companion to the Oscars leading up to, during and after the show bringing fans and audiences close to their favorites stars, movies, and specific content branded exclusively to the TNT Oscars App combines the excitement of your favorite films with the addictive challenge of news, interviews, curious facts, and casual games. Also generating a unique franchise of online and mobile stories and content developed exclusively for TNTLA, designed to engage its viewership with their favorite films and current TNTLA programming lineup. Once you enter the TNT website, a pop up will prompt you to download the app. After downloading users can create a profile to access the live feed in your mobile device you, or just as a guest, without the live feed.

This app will also become a gateway to expand the life of contents, offering endless possibilities for cross promotions and advertising revenue. The app will be uniquely branded, featuring favorite movies clips or TV shows that can be customized with current promotions, programming lineup or upcoming releases weekly or in a monthly basis to tie in with viewership target objectives of the network.
